Funding Areas
The Schmidt Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life in our communities in four broadly defined areas
The Foundation has invested in scholarships to help nursing students at NCK-Tech and continues to provide scholarships at Fort Hays State University.
The Foundation has recently doubled giving to community food programs to deal with the extra needs during the pandemic, which has allowed organizations to continue their important missions. Additionally, The Foundation has contributed $50,000 to the American Red Cross to help them upgrade one of their Kansas blood vehicles.
The Foundation was the lead contributor to the new Center for Art and Design at Fort Hays State University.
The Foundation was the lead contributor to the new Hays fully accessible ARC Park and Splash Pad which will be completed in 2021. The Foundation has also been a sponsor of the Entrepreneurial Series of Programs at Grow Hays.
